As of December 2010, the total security budget for London 2012 stood at £838 million ($1.35 billion). It is anticipated that the total spent will far exceed this amount.

2. Most Olympic drug tests planned 
Organisers are planning 5,000 individual anti-doping tests over the duration of the games, the most in Olympic history.

3. Most expensive Olympic logo 
Costing £400,000 ($645,645), the logo for London 2012 has divided opinion.

A pushchair in a bag. Is that possible? Well, Austrian company QuickSmart has been manufacturing its Back Pack Stroller for some time. The pushchair to be able to pack an entire pushchair into an easy to carry and store rucksack.


The stroller comes with three wheels for maneuverability, a canopy, cloth seating area, weighs less than 4kg, and is suitable for a child aged from six-months (up to 15kg). It features a padded seat and footrest, and a shopping basket for, you know, shopping and that. In fact, in almost every way, it's just like any conventional pushchair.

The plug and mp3 player that is possibly the easiest player to charge at any given time of day. Biggest rooftop solar plant in Britain!

The UK's biggest rooftop solar plant - the size of two-and-a-half football pitches - has been unveiled. Costing £4million, the 7,000 panels have been installed at the Promens plastics plant near Beccles, Suffolk. With a capacity of 1.65MW, the panels produce enough energy to power 480 homes.

• It cost £4 million, and is made up of 7,00 panels
• It has a generating capacity of 1.65 MW

Bicycle sculpture on the River Danube

 The bicycle sculpture is the world's largest bicycle.


This huge kinetic sculpture has been created by Zoltan Kecskemeti on the river Danube in Budapest, Hungary. 'Danube bicycle' brings together two kinds of environmentally friendly energy sources: man and water.  


The sculpture is so interconnected that the flow of the river moves the wheels of the cycle, which further move the legs of the rider. It gives a look as if a mechanical man is riding a bicycle. It's very interesting thing to see in your life!

The BMW sports car that's made entirely out of bricks

A Chinese artist wants £80,000 for a BMW car that handles like a brick... as it's made out of hundreds of them.

Dai Geng spent more than a year cementing the brick blocks together which he then carved into a model of a sporty BMW Z4, which can exceed speeds of 150mph.

Except for the windows, everything is made from brick, even the hinges that allow the door to open and close just like metal ones.

The car has been on display at Shenzheng, in Guangdong province, in southeastern China, and has now has been put up for sale

The artist is hopeful that a Chinese businessman will by the car, which doesn't run, for at least £80,000

Mr Dai said: 'Only the windows are not made of bricks. Everything else including the tyres, the steering wheel, the exhaust pipe and trimmings are made of brick.'
